While construction is ongoing during the 2022 season at the Kenan Football Center, the Carolina team buses will arrive between the Genome Sciences Building and the Sonja Haynes Stone Black Cultural Center two-and-a-half hours before kickoff. The team will march through the amphitheater to the front of the Kenan Football Center before entering the building.

• Carolina and NC State square off on the football field for the 112th time to close out the 2022 regular season on Friday, Nov. 25 at 3:30 pm on ABC.
• This game has been played on the final weekend of the regular season in seven of the last eight years. The 2020 game in Chapel Hill was played on Oct. 24 and was dominated by the Tar Heels, 48-21.
• In the 2020 meeting in Chapel Hill, Javonte Williams ran for 160 yards and three touchdowns as No. 14 defeated No. 23 NC State. Michael Carter added 106 yards and a score on the ground as Carolina racked up 326 rushing yards and finished with 578 overall.
• The road team has captured six of the last nine meetings.
• The Carolina-NC State series is the fourth-most-played in ACC history. Carolina is part of four of the five most-played series in ACC history.

Mack Brown is 25-2 in his last 27 games against in-state ACC opponents as the head coach of the Tar Heels.

• Brown lost his first five meetings against NCSU between 1987-92, but won five in a row from 1993-97 before leaving for Texas.
