Baldwin Wallace University student-athlete, Molly Cancian of Brunswick was selected as a recipient of the 2022 15 Under 30 Award from the US Women’s Rugby Foundation.
The US Women’s Rugby Foundation announced the winners of the 15 Under 30 Award. USWRF created the annual award to highlight those who exemplify the best qualities of rugby and bring those qualities to the field, to their teams, to the sport, and to local and global communities.
The award recognizes and celebrates members of the women’s rugby community who work to advance the sport of rugby for girls and women and to celebrate the power of sport as a means for social change.
Cancian is studying English with a minor in Psychology. She is the BW Women’s Rugby team president, a two time National Collegiate Rugby Scholastic All-American and All Tournament Team recipient, volunteered at the NCR All Star Tournament, created the Powerful Women on the Pitch Rugby Tournament at BW honoring women athletes, coaches, and support staff, is active as a leader in several BW clubs and serves as a student mentor for the Sophomore Bridge EXP.

and engaging in meaningful ways through men’s and women’s rugby, racquetball, sand volleyball and esports teams. Open to all students, club sports have coaches and compete in high-level conference play. University of Mount union: The Mount Union Christmas Festival, entitled “Shalom” will be held in the Brush Performance Hall on the University’s campus in Alliance Dec. 8-10. Three local students will be performing in the festival.

Thursday’s performance begins at 11:15 am and Friday and Saturday performances will take place at 7:30 pm
