The Masked Singer Fans Think Lambs Sound Like ’90s Girl Group

The Masked Singer released a preview performance of the Lambs, and fans think they sound like a 90s girl group. The contestants will take the stage during Muppet night to perform Katy Perry’s “Hot N Cold.” They’re the second group contestants of the season as the Mummies took the stage during TV night and were revealed as The Brady Bunch brothers. They’re also the second girl group to be on the show. Last season, En Vogue was revealed as Queen Cobra, which fans initially thought was an individual costume. While the new episode hasn’t aired yet, fans are already speculating about the Lambs’ identities.

After The Masked Singer shared the clip, fans settled on a guess. Dangerous_Check_4191 shared the performance on Reddit, and fans flooded the replies with “Wilson Phillips“The clip was also shared on YouTube by Masked Clips, and fans had the same guess.”Amazing performance by Lambs. I have a feeling it’s Wilson Phillips,“one fan commented. The 90s girl group consists of Carnie and Wendy Wilson, the daughters of Beach Boys singer Brian Wilson, and Chynna Phillips, the daughter of Michelle and John Phillips from The Mamas & the Papas. The women founded the group in 1989. and released music throughout the 90s.

The Masked Singer Lambs May Also Be The Chicks

However, Wilson Phillips isn’t the only 90s girl group fans have been speculating about. Some of The Masked Singer fans think the lambs sound a lot like The Chicks (formerly known as The Dixie Chicks.) “They sound very similar to the Dixie Chicks, my family has seen them live before, so maybe they’ll recognize them,“one fan replied to the Reddit thread. Others said they don’t think the Lambs sound anything like The Chicks and that the contestants also can’t be Wilson Phillips because one of the group members is a lot shorter than the others, and there is no height difference between The Masked Singer contestants.

Both guesses are great attempts at figuring out who the Lambs are and are probably more accurate than anything panelist Ken Jeong will guess during the episode. It might be more likely that the Lambs are Wilson Phillips, as The Chicks would be too obvious. They’re very well known, and panelists would quickly catch on to their identities. Last episode, Gloria Gaynor was quickly guessed as Mermaid, and in her exit interview, she advised future contestants to disguise their voices to make it harder for panelists to figure out their identities. As soon as panelists see a girl group on stage, they’re going to start guessing the most popular girl groups they can think of. Wilson Phillips would be trickier since they weren’t as popular as The Chicks.

This season, The Masked Singer fans, who are typically much better at guessing than panelists, have been wrong a few times. They were sure Mermaid, who turned out to be Gloria, was Oscar-nominated actress Kathleen Turner. They also thought the Mummies were going to be a boyband, but when they heard them sing for the first time, they settled on the Lawrence brothers. It wasn’t until panelists started guessing The Brady Bunch stars that the thought even crossed their minds. Wilson Phillips and The Chicks are both great guesses, but The Masked Singer has had some shocking reveals this season, and there are so many possibilities for who can be behind the Lambs.
