HILLSDALE – KB Law Office is proud to announce new scholarship opportunities for Hillsdale County high school seniors.
KB Law Office has decided to fund six $ 1,000 scholarships: two for those that will be entering a two year or four year college or university in the fall of 2023 (KB Law Higher Education Scholarship); two for those students who will be entering programs directed at the trade skills (KB Law Trade School Scholarship); and two for those who are seeking a career in criminal justice, pre-hospital emergency medicine, firefighting, law enforcement or other first responder fields.
KB Law Higher Education Scholarships are geared towards students pursuing secondary education, whether seeking to obtain an associates or bachelor’s degree. Each student chosen shall receive a one-time payment of $ 1,000 for educational assistance. Students who wish to apply for the KB Law Higher Education Scholarship must possess a 2.75 GPA or higher, be a student at a Hillsdale County high school, graduate in the spring of 2022 and attend a two or four year college or university in the fall of 2022.
KB Law Office is passionate about community service and allowing students to pursue training in non-traditional educational facilities, such as trade schools.

“We’ve recognized a growing trend in the building / automotive trades industry and other vocational careers and the need for skilled tradesmen and tradeswomen,” Kim Burger said. “These positions are gaining a lot of attention and it’s our goal to be involved in a meaningful way. Therefore, we are also awarding scholarships to those students wishing to pursue a career in the building / automotive trades industries such as HVAC, carpentry, electrical , automotive technology, alternative energy, or other vocational trades and related fields of study. “
Finally, in honor of Vern Piper, two scholarships will be awarded to any student wishing to pursue a degree in criminal justice, pre-hospital emergency medicine, firefighting, law enforcement or other first responder career fields.
