The Windsong Chorus of Sweet Adelines staged their annual fall show Sunday, Oct. 23, “As Long As I Have Music.”
Set in the wild west, melodrama told the story of Melody Rose (Kori Maier), whose father is murdered and her piano stolen, leaving her with no make to music until she finds the Sweet Adelines. After she joins the chorus, the dastardly Snydley Staccato (Darren Luft) kidnaps Melody and ties her to a set of railroad tracks. Luckily, Sheriff Curtis Crescendo (Ce Merrigan) arrives to free Melody and arrest Snydley. He doesn’t spend long in jail though, as Miss Lillian Legato (Earleen Friedly) pleads for an early release so the talented pianist can sign a contract with a big talent company, because everyone has music inside of them and deserves the opportunity to share it.
The show also featured performances by the Sterling High School Show Choir, the RE-1 Valley Children’s Chorale, Smile! Quartet and a special piano performance by Luft.
